We all have had moments during routine travel in which we dozed off while waiting for a train, plane, or someone to meet us.

However, this shocking video is a reminder of how we must never let our guard down when it comes to our children’s protection, no matter how tired we get.

The following video shows a man getting off a train at the CST station in Mumbai, wandering around for a bit to identify an easy target, sitting down for about 40 seconds and then picking up a 3-year-old girl, who is sleeping, and walking away with her … without anyone even noticing.

If you have children, then you know that at that age, they don’t wake up. In this case, the girl probably thought it was her parent picking her up.

The kidnapping took place in the very late hours of June 10, 2012.

Police released this footage in hopes of finding the man and the kidnapped girl.

EDIT: On July 7, 2012, the 3 year-old girl who was kidnapped has been rescued unharmed, and the kidnapper arrested.

The girl was tracked to the town of Haridwar in Uttarakhand.

The kidnapper admitted to taking the girl to force her to become a beggar.
