This photo was taken at the Buriganga River in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Boatmen had set up a floating boat bridge to get across the river, which had an overgrowth of water hyacinth that kept boats from moving across the water.

Unable to go about their usual means of living due to these conditions, the boatmen charge 2 Bangladeshi Taka (US$0.02) per person to get across, giving them a source of income until they can continue boating.
