When it comes to gadgets, (strange and otherwise) the greatest number come from Asia and the F-022 mobile phone is about as strange as they come.

Produced by the collaborative efforts of Japanese Fujitsu and Folli Follie, a women’s accessories company specializing in jewelry, watches and accessories that operates more than 100 stores throughout China, this phone is targeted for the Chinese marketplace. Folli Folie is also a hugely popular brand name in Japan.

The F-022 mobile phone’s most unusual feature is a removable disc that can be saturated with perfume, which then infuses the phone with the selected scent. The detachable fragrance chip for marking ones’ “tech territory” is located on the mobile phone’s reverse side.

The luxury phone is gold in color, has a glittering diamond pattern and is adorned with a 2-carat zirconium. It was recently featured on June 24 at the Beijing Digital Telecom Company and will be stocked in all of that firm’s 1,000 outlets throughout China.

Pushing its uniqueness to a target audience of fashion-conscious women 20 to 40 year-old, the F-022 mobile phone is equipped with a high-performance, 8.1-megapixel camera that takes outstanding photos of people with its “beautiful skin” and “pupil tracking” modes”.  For an even more competitive edge, the F-022 mobile phone is also equipped with a water-resistant (rated IPX5/7/8) and dust-resistant (rated IP5X) technology

The price of this new mobile phone has not been indicated in the various press releases.
