Rooster Attracts Crowds in China

Posted on July 29, 2014

Coming back from a business trip, Jianping Zong brought home a rooster that he bought from a farmer for US$1,600 (10,000 RMB).

This three-year-old rooster is nothing like the ordinary because it stands up on its two legs, straight and tall, just like a penguin.

From the time that he brought it home to Jinhua in China, people started crowding around this unique bird.

The reason for its malformed body is said to be a cartilage disease it acquired when it was younger. Mr. Zong says that he will eventually turn over the rooster to the local zoo “so that more people can have a look at this strange chicken.”
