Hong Kong Designer Makes the Perfect Desk for Cat Owners

Posted on May 10, 2014

Cats are known to be clingy to their owners if they want to. Oftentimes, they roam around their owners’ workplaces and sit on their laptops and in other workspaces, especially when they’re in use.

Now cat lovers don’t have to worry about these due to an amazing invention by Chinese architect and designer Ruan Hao.

Called the CATable, it looks like a normal table on the surface but, as you can see, there are narrow, smooth tunnels throughout the table perfect for cats, since they are known to like crawling into and exploring tight spaces.

“A proper-sized hole could be so irresistible to cats. Their curiosity will be satisfied through repetitively exploring the unknown path behind the hole,” Hao said.

Now people are able to work efficiently while their cats are busy crawling around the table, without getting in each others’ way.
