Kim Jong-Un’s Plans for ‘Opening’ and Modernizing North Korea
Posted on May 22, 2013
In the past year, North Korea’s Kim Jong-Un has stated that he will bring an end to decades of strictness in North Korea.
It seems that this statement is slowly taking effect because in Pyongyang a number of establishments, including department stores, restaurants, and high rise apartments, are being constructed.
In downtown Pyongyang, for example, supermarkets now sell Hershey’s Kisses, Coca-Cola, and Doritos.
In addition to that, a park featuring miniatures of world famous structures is planned to be open this year. Some of the replicas to be displayed in the park are Augustus Pugin’s infamous Big Ben and Paris’ Eiffel Tower.
