Jifa Sun lost both of his hands during an accidental bomb explosion. However, the 51-year-old man from Guanmashan did not let this stop him from living a normal life.

Knowing that he could not afford an expensive artificial arms, Sun took matters into his own “hands.”

After many years of hard work, he has produced his own prosthetic arms, controlled by several pulleys and wires so that his arms can do simple work easily.

The only problem he encounters, Sun says, is that his arms get so hot in summer and cold during winter.

Still, this does not stop this man’s determination. He now plans on building prosthetic arms for other unfortunate amputees like him.
