Thai Senator Accidentally Shoots Cousin Over Eating Dinner
Boonsong Kowawisarat, a Thai senator, will be charged with causing death by negligence after accidentally shooting his cousin during a family meal.
The 56-year-old senator was trying to put away an Uzi when he accidentally shot his cousin, Chanakarn Detkard. Chanakarn, 46, also the senator’s secretary, was hit in the stomach, which eventually led to his untimely death.

Boonsong will face a maximum of 10 years in prison and a 20,000 baht (about US$635) fine.
“From our initial inquiry, the secretary’s family will not sue because they were relatives, and it was an accident — he did not mean to do it,” an officer told AFP via phone.
Police officials also added that they still do not know why the senator had an Uzi nearby while having dinner.
Sounds a little fishy, eh?
