Firecrackers and Chinese Sewers Not a Good Mix
A man in China’s Hunan Province was rushed to a hospital after being injured in an explosion.
Mr. Cai was caught on CCTV camera lighting firecrackers in a residential area and dropping them into the sewer through a manhole cover.
Only a few seconds later, we see Cai flying from the manhole.
Luckily, his son and his nephew, who were watching nearby, were not injured.
Doctors say that Cai is in critical condition, having suffered facial burns and inhalation injury.
The sewage blowup is believed to have been caused by accumulated bio-gas inside the sewer.
