World’s Most Expensive Apartment Goes on Sale in Tokyo
Recently, a large number of people had been flocking to Tokyo’s Minami-Azabu district to check out an incredibly priced apartment.
The 4,430 square-foot West Tokyo flat is up for sale by Sotheby’s International Realty for a hefty price of 1.8 billion yen (US$23 million). That’s 410,000 yen (US$5,200) per square foot!
It is believed to be the most expensive one-bedroom apartment for sale in the whole world.

The stones and wood used on the penthouse’s interior were imported from Italy. It also includes a Ryotei-style dining area, wherein the house chef can directly serve guests from the kitchen.
Apart from the large bedroom and its 60-inch TV and walk-in closet, the luxurious dining room, the main “attraction” is its courtyard, decorated with beautiful plants and flowers, and surrounded by a lounge in which guests can chit-chat and enjoy coffee together.
The apartment owner is said to be a successful businessman. He is also selling two more exclusive properties. One is a beach house and the summer residence of the Imperial Family at Hayama City, which is three hours from Tokyo. The other is a vacation home in Karuizawa. They cost 1.3 billion yen (US$16.6 million) and 550 million yen (US$7 million), respectively.
