Uncanny Thief Steals Lunch from Fisherman’s Net
One of the most common jobs, especially in rural Asian areas, is fishing.
The life of a fisherman is no easy task. They work very hard just to earn a meager living.
However, even in this situation, there is always one who will sneak up and steal the fish right out of a fisherman’s nets.
That is exactly what was caught on video below:

The video shows a whale shark sucking fish out of a fisherman’s net.
The video was caught in Indonesia’s Cendrawasih Bay National Marine Park.
This unusual behavior was caught on tape after conservationists radio-tagged the animal.

“This technology has never been tried before with whale sharks, in large part because it‘s fairly impractical to swim after the giants with a receiver wand underwater,” said Dr. Mark Erdmann, a marine biologist.
“What makes this tagging possible in Cenderwasih Bay is the unique habit this population has of aggregating at fishing platforms to feast upon the small silverside baitfish that the fishers are catching.”
