North Korea’s Kim Jong-un Puts On a Disney Extravaganza
North Korea is known for being a closed country. The communist government doesn’t allow just any outside culture to be viewed by its people.

However, reports said state that North Korea brought Disney characters onto one of its stage performances.
How odd is that? Maybe North Korea is coming out of its shell. What do you think?
Disney characters performed in front of leader Kim Jong-un, together with his generals and other politicians clapping along.
In fact, it was Kim himself who put together the band that put on the first-of-its-kind performance.
Making their debut, the Moranbong band took to the staged and played the concert.
North Korean entertainment traditionally features nationalist or folk songs, and mass displays.

Having a “grandiose plan to bring about a dramatic turn in the field of literature and arts this year,” Kim decided to let the performers, dressed as popular cartoon characters, dance for the whole country.
Young Kim Jong-un, believed to be in his late 20’, is attempting to make changes to the profile of the North Korean leadership.
A Disney spokesperson told the Associated Press news agency that it had not authorized the use of the characters in the show.
