Japan’s Domino Pizza Offers $31,000 Cash For One Hour Delivery
In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the popular pizza chain’s arrival in Japan, Domino’s Pizza is making a special offer for anyone over the age of 18 to be eligible for the $31,000 cash give prize.

The catch to the prize is really not much of a gimmick at all; candidates have to work for an hour as a Dominos delivery person. The figure was aptly chosen, for in Tokyo, the average delivery driver makes about 2.5 million yen ($31k) a year.
The project is still a bit hush hush, as Domino’s has not yet released all the details of the up and coming competition, and will tell all on November 10th, which as of this writing is still a few days away.
The Wall Street Journal has reported that working so little has never paid so well.
The downside to all this is the Japanese attitude about delivering pizza as a profession, even in exchange for such a large sum of money for a mere hour’s work.
Considered one of the most educated and technologically advanced societies in the world, many Japanese look down upon delivering pizza as both an embarrassing and disgraceful profession.
Can we assume that when they want to order a pizza for delivery, they somehow manage to look the other way?
The $31,000 prize marks just one of a series of events to celebrate the pizza chain’s 25th anniversary.
So what will it be: anchovies, extra cheese, pepperoni, etra sauce or just plain?
