Far East Movement – Asian Rap/Dance At Its Finest

When you think of mainstream Rap, not many Asian rappers come to mind, but the Far East Movement is hoping to change that. Comprised of four Asian Americans, the hip hop/rap/dance group is quickly building a fan following in Southern California.

Their infectious beats and energized music style is influenced by all types of music ranging from pop and dance to rock ‘n roll — think of their body of work as the dim sum of the music industry.

Not particularly weird or anything, we just thought it was cool and wanted to give notice to an up and coming group.

So far the Far East Crew has signed distribution deals in Japan and Korea, and have created an award-winning platinum album that broke sales records in Hong Kong.

Their popularity is growing in the United States – looks like America’s playing catch up to Asian trends yet again.
