For a toilet, this is pretty neat looking! And why would you rent something for $50,000 a day?! You could get a hut on the water for that much--- jeez! that's outrageous!

This man has got it right. Yeah it's weird to live in a house shaped like a toilet bowl. But if his aim is to gather funds to help those poor countries with backwards toilet systems, then good for him. And he is absolutely right. People should not have to put up with dirty or primitive toilet systems. It is indeed a health issue as many diseases are transmitted from fecal matter.

Btw...the worst toilet I have seen was not in a 3rd world country. It was right here in the good ol' USA. The public toilets of Arizona's rest stops (at least when I went through there 7 years ago) are absolutely disgusting. The "bowl" is basically a toilet seat on a hole sitting on top of a giant septic tank underground, and NOTHING, NOTHING is between this hole and the tank. So basically you can see everyone else's poop and urine down there. YUCK. It smells horrible, and I'm sure as heck it is a breeding ground for disease!!!
