I'm an Indonesian too . Do keep in mind that Indonesia is a close minded country and the population believe in all that mumbo jumbo superstitious stuff.

The locals are just looking for somebody to blame for the endless disasters which have been striking them since the big Tsunami back in 2004, the year Susilo was elected as the new president. Unlucky for him, people associated him to the natural disasters because since he took reign, disasters never ceased to strike Indonesia. My mum believe that Susilo is a jinx too, but if you think of it rationally, it's not like he created the natural disasters. Look at the fact that Indonesia is surrounded by the 'ring of fire' .. isn' that a good enough explanation already? Well obviously not enough for the locals, poorly educated and completely ignorant people.... I think it's stupid to blame the president, it's just a bad timing for him. Seriously, the tsunami affected a big part of Asia, so it's not just Indonesia all the time, natural disaster travels alright? So ask yourself this, is it Susilo's fault for the rest of the world's natural disasters? That is just insane!

Honestly, I lived in Indonesia for more than half of my life and I've never heard of this superstition about number 9 being an unlucky number. I believe it was number 4 for being associated with the Chinese culture as the number of 'death' because 4 when pronounced in any chinese dialect, it means death. And I remember really well back when I was in primary school, it was the 9th of September 1999, the whole country went into some sort of a panic attack, most of the people stayed home on that day. Why? Because they thought it was the end of the world, number 9 symbolized the very last number of the single digit numeracy (0-9), so number 9 means the end? *pathetic* But the world is still in one piece! So cut the crap!

If you want a mumbo jumbo reason for the endless strike of natural disasters or just somebody to blame, how about the Indonesian? If it's anything, I believe that God or whatever force it is you believe in thinks that Indonesia is a country that is full of insensitive people and maybe they are just trying to get rid of the people one disaster at a time, just like how it is if you refer to the Bible. Not sure if you're Christian or Muslim or Buddhist, but I'm a Catholic so using Noah's example, God drowned the earth for 40 days and 40 nights, what was his purpose? To kill all the bad people, then he promised Noah he wouldn't do such a thing again. Well yeah he didn't, but of course he didn't promise anything about Tsunamis, floods, earthquakes, wars, etc. So switching my sanity to a superstitious crap, it is the people's fault, not just the president. So re-evaluate yourself.

I'm not a skeptical, it just so happen that I have a brain! You selfish people should leave the president alone, he's not a God or Zeus or anything, just a regular person who can't control, create or stop the natural disaster. Even Obama can't help it if he were to rule Indonesia, the ring of fire..people..the ring of fire! This is all I can say to change your mind, if you still believe the president is a jinx then this is what I advice you to do "Why don't you cowards criticize how he handles the economy and other affairs regarding the well being of the country, and try and try to fill your empty nutshells with brains?!"

Its a stupid way of blaming disasters on the president's birthdate rather than blaming it on his lack of leadership skills. StUPID.
