Please take one bucket, fill with diesel.
Light one cigarette.
Drop cigarette in diesel.

Either: A) these people were unaware of the fact that a lit cigarette won't catch diesel on fire, or B) they were perfectly aware, and happily smoking away, there's just no big fire to say they were.

Have you ever tried to light diesel? A naked flame and striking matches directly into the fuel still didn't get it to burn for when I tried.
