Japanese Man Kills Neighbor Over Parking Space

Everyone’s been in a few parking mishaps – a fender bender here, a failed parking break there, an inconvenient parallel parking job or three.

Yet the punishment for these mishaps was never death – at least, until 71-year-old Katsuyoshi Fujii came around.

The Japanese septuagenarian had an ongoing argument with his neighbor, Chie Kojima, about her family’s use of his garden to park their motorbikes. Though Fujii claims that he didn’t intend to murder her, he ended up stabbing her in the course of an argument.

“I complained to Kojima about one of her family members trespassing into my garden to park their motorbike. Then we got into an argument and I stabbed her,” Fujii was quoted as telling police.

Kojima, 66, died later at the hospital. Fujii fled the scene and was later arrested.

Comedy's a dead art form. Now tragedy, that's funny.
