I look at my ten month old and feel like crying at the never ending stream of cruelty against children. Why would any loving mother dare her drunk husband to put her in boiling water. I feel sick. It will never be as extreme as what their baby went through. To top it off her own mother made it worse by running cold water on her and just watching as the babies skin fell off. Common sense dictates that a person shouldn't have their kid with them if they are going to fight or argue about something. She sould have left her baby asleep with someone else before confronting her dad. Whats sad about this whole thing is that no matter how the father or mother gets punished. What kind of person can perform such a horrid act!? :( This is probably a bit picky, but in the article the doctor is quoted as describing the baby’s pain as ‘being slashed by a thousand knives’, and almost 10 times worse than labor pains. Does this mean that labor pains are like being slashed by 100 knives?? Remind me never to give birth.. I just find it weird that the doctor quantified pain? This is terrible, absolutely shocking. That doesn't even make sense. What idiotic mother would even risk the chance of him considering it, to even say it. I mean honestly why would she even be holding the child while fighting with her drunk and angry boyfriend. There's just so many simple things that she could have done to avoid this. It makes me so sad and angry that people are this stupid and cruel. That poor child.
