Self-Mummification is a very interesting topic. I know there are several books available on the subject in Japanese and one in Italian, but up until now there have been no books on the subject in English. I just recently found a book that is being published on the subject in English entitled "Living Buddhas: The Self-Mummified Monks of Yamagata, Japan". I have been waiting for this one for a while.
