Baby Tiger Forced to Take Good Pictures… Or Else
It seems there will never be an end to the amount of cruelty the Chinese show animals in exchange for the money they earn from tourists.
At the Qingling Wild Animal Park in Xian, China, baby tigers are chained to tables to allow tourist the opportunity to get a good, close-up, picture.

When this 3 month old Tiger didn’t co-operate and allow the tourist a good photograph, he was beaten severely by the zoo keeper.

The Tiger’s tooth was broken and blood can be seen dripping from his mouth.
Sad what animals have to go through for some tourist’s pleasures.

While I have no doubt such stories are true, a cursory look at the “blood” would show you it was photo shopped into the image.

Eh. It happens. Animal cruelty abounds. Maybe after human right’s issues are solved in China will I start to care about animal rights there.

Blood seems fake, but it doesn’t change the fact that cruelty to animals does happen…

I’ve been to China’s zoo and the picture totally sums up what I saw.

I’ve been to Chinese zoos and while I’ve never actually seen something that cruel (I have absolutely no idea what kind of backwater zoos you guys are going to, I’ve been to the ones in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou), that sort of thing definitely exists out there, not just in China, but tons of other zoos in the world.
HOWEVER, I’m also disgusted that someone would be willing to photoshop an image with fake blood just to make a point. Supporting a cause regardless of what you believe in is fine, but when you’ve gone to the point where you have to forge information, well, then you need to reevaluate your priorities.

Just because it’s shopped doesn’t mean the blood wasn’t actually there. People in magazines have their skin airbrushed to look better; this doesn’t mean they didn’t originally have skin, they’ve just been touched up to look better. This picture could’ve been touched up have clearer visuals. Because of the extreme contrast in the first pic, I imagine the blood could’ve been photoshopped to be more prominant, otherwise it could’ve easily blended in and you wouldn’t have been able to see it.

What’s with all the fake and photoshopped stories lately? While the quality of the look of the site has improved, the quality of the articles has sadly decreased.

I don’t know if it’s photoshopped, but I’ve been to a tiger park and noticed what they feed them. It’s mostly live and leaves a mess.
I see no broken tooth or evidence that the blood (if real) is even his/her blood.
Blood of a snack perhaps?

I would never go to China because of the cruelty that is inflicted on their animals. Even the treatment of Chinese people make me sick. What is wrong with them?

Lorraine:
I live in China, it’s not as bad as you’d think.
Sure it’s not perfect, but I still find myself
more at home and safer here than Australia.

You should go there to see if it is so bad,
instead of sheltering your self because of
what the news tells you. You’d learn amaing things.

Do you people not know of the disgusting fur trade in China. I’ve seen what they do to racoon dogs – skin them alive and then throw them in a pile to die a slow painful death – it’s absolutely disgusting – made my stomach turn. They skin cats and dogs alive because they say it’s easier to skin a warm, convulsing animal than a dead one. How sick is that. You don’t believe they’d be able to hurt a lion cub. Wake up jerks.

That’s not even in China!! It’s in Thailand! And yes, that blood has been photoshopped in and badly so. I’m not denying that these things happen because they do, but this article is made up.

By the way, how is this “Weird Asian News”? Animals are tortured everywhere in the world. The fox fur farms in Ireland, puppy mills in the states, chickens that are sent off to KFC…before you start complaining about what China or whatever does to their animals, take a look around you first – animal cruelty is everywhere. Just focusing on the more “exotic” places will just make animal cruelty at home go ignored.

WHAT??
I can’t believe what i just read. Australia is the greatest country in the world. I was born in northern finland and moved to Australia after of completing my studies. The people were beautiful, the beaches, the freedom. The government support those in need, unlike in China.
China has one of the worst records of abuse against own people, where Australia is equal and free. I can’t believe you don’t feel embarrassed to say that china has better living than in australia

like seriously. blood would only scare away tourists and that just defeats the whole purpose. whoever photoshoped the blood in is a shame to humans. and stop referring to chinese animal abusers as “they”. it’s not “their” fault that animals are getting abused. it’s OUR fault. us – human kind.
