After 85 Years, First Gremlin Found Alive
Everyone should know about Gremlins. They are those little furry creatures that if you get them wet, they multiply and if you feed them after midnight, they turn pretty evil.

Well I cannot say for sure that the food and water part are real, but apparently a Gremlin, mouse-sized primate called a Pygmy Tarsier, has been found alive for the first time in 85 years.

Hiding in the mountaintops of a cloud forest in Indonesia, these little Gremlins weigh about 2 ounces, have large eyes, claws instead of fingernails, and are covered in fur to keep warm in the damp and cool environment.

Last seen in 1921, the Gremlins were thought to be extinct until this recent discovery.
We only hope the Indonesians will keep them out of the sun, dry, and avoid feeding them after midnight.

Hello! I think you’ve a mistake. Gremlins are the transformation of the Mogwais. So, i guess that you should maybe rename the title of your article.
See you!

I hate when people with blog sites or even have real sites like this one post things that are so retarded they make it onto digg. Not only are they not the correct fiction creature, but they have been being tracked since 2000. Making this not exactly up to date.

These are pygmy tarsiers… not Gremlins.
They’re larger relatives, Tarsiers, have been known for some time and are also relatively small in the world of primates. I’m not sure what makes them “gremlins” any more than their relatives.
Also, primates as a whole, including the new pygmy tarsiers have fingernails instead of claws. The family of Tarsiers is known for their claw-like nails that provide for vertical clinging but they are still nails at heart.

There’s a typo in your article. It should say “damp and cool”, not “damn and cool”.

I think Mogwai (great band btw) is both the singular and plural. Much like sheep and fish.
Also, if you can’t feed them after midnight; when can you start feeding them again!?

Um, google “pygmy tarsier” – you’ll see a bunch of articles that have come recently covered this discovery. So, no, this is pretty up to date.
In 2000, one Pygmy Tarsier was accidentally killed while killing rats. Not exactly “tracking.” Check your facts before crying “fake” next time.

Probably not, but a fun typo none the less.

Hey, I saw these little animals (Tarsier) in Philippine last year, on Bohol island. Really cute and friendly actually, they can climb on your hand by themselves after they get used to have you around.
By the way, did you know that Mogwai means “monster” in Cantonese?

pygmy tarsiers are not the same as philippine tarsiers(which are found in bohol) though they belong in the same family.

PYGMY Tarsier – I’m not a specialist, but I presume there are several species of tarsiers, some probably common. I know the similar African animal bushbaby is very common (well again there are several species of bushbabies).
