north korean i see you A Little Deeper Into North Korea picture

North Korea, the same country that recently shot a female tourist for accidentally crossing into the DMZ zone, has been getting some praise from the US and others for agreeing to reveal their nuclear capabilities.

shane smith A Little Deeper Into North Korea pictureCNN caught up with VBS.tv reporter Shane Smith recently to talk about his trip into North Korea and we wanted to make sure anyone who enjoyed the original story got the chance to see it.

Way to be on the ball on this “breaking news” story CNN.
On the other hand, when I first saw these videos months ago I spent the entire time completely transfixed and agog with Shane’s footage. At least the CNN clip answered my question about “How do you get away with filming if it’s not allowed?” It says a lot about a country’s people when you can just say, “Oh, we’re just taking still photos.” and they believe you.
Kudos, on the footage and escaping intact you guys. More evocative than anything I’ve see brought back by Lisa Ling.

Shows that many people, especially Shane have no conception of communism.

It’s not communist, there is no such thing as a communist country. It’s not even socialist as a country, they do something called Juche, a personallity cult surounding the leader that has no relevance to anything about communism.

I’m mentioning this because a place like North Korea that is very interesting should be studied, not looked down upon and then refered to as communist by people who can almost not even define the idea.

she didnt ‘accidently’ climbed over the fence and crossed into north korea for like more than 1 km
annd the guard warned her by shouting and firing gunshot or something but she just kept going
if he didnt stop her than he would have to face the consequence

Tourist shot? Atypical Yankee Imperialista Newspeak.

Park Wang-ja, 53, left her room at the resort and crossed into a zone where visitors are not allowed, Kim Ho-nyoun stated spokesman for the South Korean Unification Ministry

Park pushed her way through a wire barrier separating the tourist area from the restricted zone, stated Hyundai Asan, the South Korean company running the resort
It was unclear if she knew where she was going. By Kim’s account, soldiers told her to halt, but she ran from them and was then shot.

Park’s body was handed over to South Korean officials and taken to a hospital in the South Korean port city of Sokcho, Kim said.

Spare us your trite “Reds under the Bed” Propaganda, Yank- we know you’re the real Satan- with your Halliburton, KBR, Bush, Cheney and our Military Industrial Congressional Complex.

    Lol Purba NEgoro.

At least the States does some good in the world. Who is it that donates the most in international disaster relief? Combating AIDS? Disrupting terrorist networks? Get off you high horse. USA has the balls to stand up to what we believe in. Other countries can piss off because you guys do nothing but bitch bitch bitch about the US while contributing nothing in comparison. Ungrateful bastards.

-I don’t think that’s true, who would be dumb enough to be wondering off like that. I think they can just shoot at people and then cover it up with a dumb story..

    Hahahaha!!!

You Norks and your internet access! Don’t you know you are not allowed to believe in religion? You are not allowed to call someone Satan, your Dear Leader will have you shot!

“Our” Military Industrial Complex? Oops! Freudian slip!

It is a shame she died, but Korean tourists are always pushing their way through things. I am not sure where they got their sense of entitlement.

I mean, it’s not like she was Arnold Schwartzenegger….

and of course USAID never *cough, ahem* comes strings attached… just like your Lend-lease war profiteering at the expense of a heroic Britain (fighting while Yanks were busy in bed bank-rolling the Nazis) and Marshall “loans” to Europe…?

Did you know only in 2006 did the UK finally pay off it’s Lend-Lease “loans” from the US?
I quote the hero Sukarno, “USA- go to Hell with your goddamn ‘Aid’! “- a year later the CIA snuffed him…

I would like to hear more (much more) from North Korea on the tourist shooting. The South has swept this under the rug and no one is talking about it. Seems to me that with the literacy rate at near 100% in the South, she knew what she was getting into.

Shane Smith did a helluva job and I’ve watched all his videos. He is a very courageous fellow to even consider doing what he did. An incredibly informative series of videos that everyone should see.
