I throw it in the bowl now the same way as I did while living in the US (in my city sewage systems are big enough to allow you to do it), but people complain about my throwing toilet paper into the toilet bowl! Those whose infrastructure can now afford them to dispose of paper into the drainage, are already wired to keep throwing them into the trash. Men are a creatures of habit... Actually, due to infrastructure limitations, by far most of the world still needs to dispose of their toilet paper into the can.
