In The Machine Girl, Ami, a normal Japanese high school girl, loses everything to a Ninja Yakuza family, including her arm.
She comes back in a way even Robert Rodriguez would adore.

This is the GREATEST MOVIE EVER MADE. I got it the day it came out and in fewer than seven days, I have watched it eight times with various friends. EVERYONE loves it. It is hilarious, it is way over-the-top, it is very very easy to give the MST3K treatment to, and it’s just all-around glorious.
One of my friends says that this needs to have an X-Rated spoof: “The Sex Machine Girl,” with vibrator attachments on the arms. I trust Japan to get this done.
It’ll be hard for her to go through airport security.
Good god that movie looks terrible. The trailer started out ok, but then when I saw those “special” effects…hahahaha.

I purchased this movie when it came to the states a while back.
At first, I figured it was just going to be a normal action flick… definitely wrong! Anyone who thinks this movie is awful and hasn’t seen it needs to check it out. There are literally bucket-loads of gore in just a single scene. I don’t think I’ve seen that movie in a film before.
The story/acting isn’t overly bad, besides being predictable/corny at times… but that’s what you’d expect for the type of film. I recommend listening to the original Japanese language with subtitles though. The English was awful.
This is the film Tarrantino only wishes he could make.
Minsae Yashiro was great as the school girl on a rampage in her first role, and once again Japan tops the weirdness quotient the nation’s pop culture is known for.
I can’t wait for her to go to college! Let’s hope this becomes a franchise.
Machine Girl can shoot the flesh off a body without breaking any bones. Wow.
Cheezy as hell, but funny as hell with some cool shots. Got it at wal-mart for $12 based on the cover alone, never saw a trailer or even heard of it before. Its horrible and awesome. The effects are cheezy and over the top, acting in the dub is better then the acting on screen, music is over the top and fitting. I love it.
The English VAs are all New York VAs who have been heard in shows like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and TMNT. And hearing Dan Green, the VA for Yugi as Ryota’s dad cursing up a storm had me in stitches.
