Animal Torture Causes Wave of Anger

It seems no matter where you go in the world, people find it funny to torture and hurt innocent animals.

However, when Mrs. Chang discovered a cat covered in yellow paint on the roadside in Ban-Chiao, Taiwan, it caused a wave of condemnation and anger.

When Mrs. Chang brought the cat to the animal hospital emergency room, it was almost completely covered in Yellow paint. The toxic Formalin has corroded it’s body, causing it to vomit uncontrollably.

Dr. Liao, worried about the cats toxicity level, being 90% covered in paint, decided not to try to think the paint with rosin spirit or paint thinners. He instead added some water to kitty-litter and rubbed it over the paint covered area to soak up the paint and reduce the toxins entering the cat.

The vet gave the cat some liver medicine in hopes to help it process the toxins, but with all their efforts the are of coverage was just too large and the cat had already taken in too many toxins.

The staff was forced to watch as the cat gradually died in pain.

The animal hospital’s staff indicated that this was not the first time they have seen animal pranks go to far.

Mrs. Chang was appalled that such cruel prank could be performed on animals and Dr. Liao added:

“I’ve run the hospital for over 20 years, this is the first ‘paint-cat’ case I’ve seen that is of this gravity. The skin, fur and paint all adhered together, there was no way to separate them.”

This latest animal torture case has caused a lot of discussion and anger amongst the community and local officials in Taiwan.

Why do people only get so angry about isolated cases, what about the cases where there isn’t media coverage? I hope they find who did it anyways.

Why people would actually do that to the animals? There is no correct answer to that. Could be mental problem person, probably who had nothing to do or even can be done by the children who know nothing about animals abuse.

People that abuse animals, has a high chance of abusing humans as well,or vise versa.Be aware of overly hot tempered individuals.

I hate hearing that, poor cat.

I can’t help but wonder why they didn’t euthanize the cat instead of watching it gradually die in pain.

Hope they find whoever did it.

But nobody cares about the hundreds of animals living miserable, painful lives (and dying) at the labs of corporations such as Iams and other pet product companies.

    That’s pretty depressing.

It’s quite coincidental that I was telling my parents about a commercial about animal abuse and this story popped up.

That commercial made me cry both of the times I saw it.

Get real. If you do even a small bit of research, you’ll find that as usual PETA was throwing around twisted facts. The animals PETA captured on film were not owned by Iams, but were simply housed in the same facility. The facility was (notice the was, as it has been shut down and Iams now uses it’s own privately held facilities) simply a place where companies could rent out space to house animals, although it was up to the individual companies to provide care – it was proven that Iams cared for their animals exceptionally well.

Iams now sponsors several programs run by the ASPCA and undergoes frequent investigation by their own choice from the ASPCA, the results of which can be found on their website.

PETA should not be trusted. They are a corrupted, extremely political group that will go to any lengths, including slandering and lying, to destroy any company they think is doing them harm. They are bogus.

those kinds of abusive pieces of shiat should be skinned alive and resuscitated upon death so that they can die again and again. extreme? i dont think so. they deserve it for torturing a trusting, helpless, harmless animal. those people are worse than scum and anyone who thinks hurting an animal is funny and/or amusing deserves to burn in hell. amen.

They were trying to save it rather than immediately put it to sleep. They probably don’t have enough technology or information to know if they cat would make it or not, so they tried to save it.

Why didn't my last comment post? Stupid site. Anyway, I just wanted to say I'd kill anyone in cold blood that I saw killing/abusing an animal. I used to hear sick pieces of garbage in high school talk about that, and I have no tolerance for it. I should've kicked their asses then, poisoned their food, something. Now, I have no tolerance for it and Lord help anyone that I even hear of engaging in that behavior. Good population control is what deaths of scoundrels like that is. More cats, less humans is what I say. Animals already have to deal with an overpopulated planet full of mostly useless, greedy human beings. I wish the swine flu would've taken out more people – I can't rest until I feel confident that nature instills necessary population control whether it be from natural disasters, diseases, etc. so this Earth isn't completely decimated.

Dog fighting is just as bad. But the truth is people don't care anymore.
