Asian Photography 101: Catching the Upskirt
Asia has long been known for it’s love of two things: Gadgets, such as cameras, and Sex. You can find a camera attached to almost anything that has a battery and Sex?… I don’t think I even need to go there.
In the picture below, both attributes are expressed to their fullest extent.
Welcome to class students… It’s Asian Photography 101: Catching the Upskirt.
- Make sure the camera is on and lens cap is removed.
- Maintain the proper angle on your camera when shooting a live upskirt.
- Make sure your hand is steady and doesn’t shake.
- Always keep the area of interest in direct focus.
- Never… Ever… let morality get in the way.

My ex lived in Japan for 5 years or so and was always lecturing how civilized and advanced Japanese society is compared to the US. Of course I would always bite my tongue and agree. Inside I would always think how could you say that about the country that brought the world bukkake.

You realize that the original usage of the word bukakke had nothing to do with sex, right? Even now, the most common usage of the word deals with food. I’d be willing to say the sexual term is used more often in American than in Japan.

To be fair, we (by we I mean the western culture) have a tendency to view all other culture through the lens and standard of our own culture. Maybe we should ask ourselves, what kind of things we do that makes other people question our morality? Granted, voyeurism should not be condoned in any shape or form, but if it is socially acceptable in certain cultures, who are we to judge?

The funniest thing about this is the reactions of the posters. The image itself is nothing major. No one spontaneously combusted because they saw someone taking an upskirt shot. I’m sure someone’s bible is warm and toasty now.

Her name is Asuka Sawamoto, and she’s 30 years old. She promotes her amature singing gigs with up-skirt photography sessions with her fans. She basically draws a crowd with her flashing her ass and panties, and then sings to the crowd. I really don’t see what the story is here… Is it the fact that men are attracted to vaginas? Is it that women like men being attracted to their vaginas? This is only news-worthy in a country that is overly obsessed with the prude-like “morality” of the immoral god of Abraham.
