I'm so proud of all of you. Yes, that was sarcastic. I am not sure whether or not anyone would 'get the ax' should a student fall and be injured or worse. The proletariat makes the rules regarding everything - this was most likely not introduced by the school. So, only the brave die - leaving a classroom filled with only cowards?
