I Challenge You to a Game of Human Tetris

Crazy and comedic Japanese game shows have been taking not only Japan but the world by storm for awhile now. One of the better examples of these shows to emerge have been “Human Tetris“.

Human Tetris emerged on the Japanese game show known as “Tunnels no Minasan no Okage Deshita”. Contestants on the show are grouped into teams, usually the Blue and Red team.

The goal of the teams is to squeeze themselves through a pink foam wall, which sometimes has human-like shapes in it. If they cannot find a way to fit through the wall as it lurches towards them, they are pushed into a pool of water.

The show has some memorably moments, like the time 7 foot tall 352 pound Choi Hong Man was featured on the show as a contestant. Choi Hong Man is a Korean K - 1 fighter and found some innovative ways to get past the walls.

The “Human Tetris” feature of the “Tunnels no Minasan no Okage Deshita” show has become so popular that the Australian TV show “Big Brother” in season 3 of its Australian TV series produced their own version of the skit for an episode of their show.

Taiwan, as always, is doing the same thing on their tv shows, except (minor) female celebs in skimpy outfits play!

This is hilarious! I would love to be on this show! We need something like this in America so bad! It is way more entertaining than the reality game shows we have!

South Korean show “Jiwhaza” also has this game. very funny watching celebrities play. tho Choi Hong Man never played the korean version. haha. sad thing Jiwhaza was replaced, but subbed episodes are still up on YT.
