Man Robs Store Across Street From Police Box

A man was arrested one week after his release from prison for trying to rob a convenience store that was right across the street from a police box.

“I came here to look for a job, but I was stuck for money,” said 40 year-old Hiromitsu Satoyama.

Satoyama threatened a 7-11, Seven-Eleven, employee early Saturday morning, demanding he open the register and give him the money. The employee ran in the office and called the police, who happened to be right across the street.

After failing to open the register and hearing the alarm Satoyama ran from the store only to be arrested at the entrance by police.

7-11 actually has 11,747 stores in Japan, almost double the stores in the US.

Not the smartest thing to do, obviously. Don’t you look around before robbing the place?

Maybe he should have robbed the police box instead……. It would remove the hassles of using a middle-man
