Please Adopt Our Siberian Tiger

Right now in China, the price of meat is getting so high that local zoos can’t afford to keep feeding their animals.

Liao Ning City’s local zoo is so concerned that it’s Tigers and Lions will starve to death, they have come up with an excellent idea. The zoo is offering to allow people to adopt their newborn Siberian Tiger, which grow to as much as 700 lbs or more, for four months at a time.

One security guard adopted a baby tiger and found it to be very costly to keep the little animal fed. Feeding the tiger milk and beef 5 times a day cost him almost 2,500 yuan, about $250, a month.

They should offer them to the Zoo community at large so the animals can be cared for properly. These animals are wild animals at heart. Someone is going to get killed.

WTF is up with people saying that asians will ‘eat anything’ when this article is about a baby tiger up for ADOPTION, not for eating! When will you people stop being racists.

You must set it free, and teach it the way of it’s ancestors. This would clearly be the way the Lord would want us to live.

Saying “Asians will eat anything” isn’t necessarily racist if it isn’t meant to be. In fact, it’s fairly true. Not counting religious restrictions (i.e. no beef in India, or no meat for millions of strict Buddhist vegetarians) no animal is safe in Asia. Rats, dogs, cats, turtles, lizards, various animal fetuses, tigers, etc. Although I live in Asia I personally have never eaten a cat, or a dog (except once maybe, by accident) and can’t confirm whether anyone I know has ever eaten a tiger (although maybe that’s why there’s none left). In case you were wondering, pig fetuses taste much better than duck fetuses, but that could just be my cultural bias. BTW, does anyone know the most expensive part of the tiger in China? I’ll give you a clue: They eat it for virility.

wow, you mthfckas are so weird. talkign about asian people? stfu you dumb honk. if cow wasn’t a dominant meat choice, you’d be eating your fcking goldfish or sister’s pet rabbit.

and to the chick who said “You must set it free, and teach it the way of it’s ancestors. This would clearly be the way the Lord would want us to live.” i agree, animals should live in their natural habitat, but not if they’ve already been living in captivity. wtf dumbass wouldn’t know that, setting them free would just put em in a trap.

but hey, that’s just MY opinion.

and for the post, this is very cute, adopting a tiger would be awesome, treat them like a child, cost shouldn’t be a question, just stop killing the freaking environment and save yourself some money. get a bike, buy some candles. your set.

i think that this will take the wildness out of them. being able to live and interact with humans when they are babies will let them get attached to humans and it wont feel like killing anyone. maybe once they get bigger they need to be put back in a zoo. but untill they get to about 300 pounds they need to be with humans
