its not the fact that they are raising these animals for consumption what is so horrific here. its the way they do it.... these animals are abused and mistreated living their whole lives in a cage under the worst conditions, but hen they are severely tourtured as they are killed just because they taste better the more they suffer.

Nobody in Canada eats bear meat, and I know of no Canadians who hunt bear (I am a hunting and fishing guide). However, it's popular amongst US hunters, who I've seen try it after the hunter takes a bear for the very first time. There is usually not any desire for a second taste. Bear must be very quickly field dressed if any of it is to be eaten; bear fat begins to go rancid within minutes.

Few people eat rabbit, but some do. You must only eat rabbit occasionally; a diet of rabbit alone is fatal ("rabbit starvation" refers to those who appear well fed but die from serious vitamin deficiency) because the digestion of rabbit meat removes essential vitamins and minerals from the body.

Moose is delicious and the closest, in my opinion, to beef of all the wild games. Deer is very commonly hunted for food and eaten in western Canada but somewhat less common in urban Eastern Canada. Rural residents do, however.

I am guessing that you are not a child molester either? So then, do you like child molesters too? Would you to spend quality time with child molesters? Simple argument here to follow, right? Oh yeah, its basically yours.

You are actually worse than the actual consumers of dog meat. Anyone who actually owns a dog and condones this type of abuse, because they fancy themselves open minded, is nothing more than a coward and a hypocrite of the worst type. I do stand corrected. A lower life form exists. I guess I was "ignorant."

Ryan: I doubt anyone in your extended family has earned what I have, but thanks for your concern. Your likely a lackluster humanities major hoping for entrance into a third tier law school, so you probably can't fathom folks taking a few minutes on the web and still being productive otherwise. Anyway, the cultural tradition regarding spousal abuse in that country is well known to anyone who actually knows anything about the place, unlike you, and was pointed out, if I recall to make a point that cultural traditions alone provide no validity for an activity. I have no problem hurting someone's feelings, if they sanction abuse and suffering that is clearly unnecessary. Understand teacup? As mentioned repeatedly, a dog has centuries of programming, which makes it different than a cow. Otherwise, they would not be suitable for whole sale cultivation. Simply too difficult, too violent. Once again, not one of you "open minded" geniuses has made any argument of any substance to support your horrid position.

I have a dog, and I don't eat dogs...but it doesn't mean I hate everyone who does, or EVEN associated with the people who do. JM1 and such, stop sounding so ignorant...did you just realize that?...I won't even add in some nasty comment like..." my dog can kick your butt." haha, very intellectual...and RATIONAL.
