If you look at many of the great writers and philosophers throughout history and from many cultures, (Gandhi, Tolstoy, Schweitzer, etc.) you will find that they were vegetarian or vegan because they were compassionate and wise enough to realize that animals suffer the same as we do. Do you like to suffer? No? Then why do you want to make other living beings suffer? Animals all over this earth suffer tremendously because of humans who ignorantly believe themselves superior.

If you cannot see the difference between eating man's best friend or a moose or rabbit, which guess what, are eaten by carnivores like dogs, than you probably cannot see how you are completely worthless as an educator. You should quit teaching before you help to screw up any young minds. You know wife beating has a long history in Korea as well. Are you fine with that cultural tidbit as well?
