Airline Upgrades Toilet to Include Bidet

If you have ever used a toilet in a Japanese home you will notice some nice features such as a warmed seat and a built in bidet, a nozzle the size of a pencil that comes out from underneath the toilet seat and squirts water.

If you have not seen one or visited Japan you may still have a chance to use one of these nifty toilets.

All Nippon Airways (ANA) will be installing top notch toilets in its new Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The toilets will squirt jets of warm water, allowing users to clean themselves.

Don’t worry about the cost though. The airlines feel the new jet’s fuel efficiency will offset the additional toilet costs.

Some of the new household-use toilet models have massaging functions, deodorising mechanisms, remote control, blow dryer, automatic flush and sensor-equipped automatic lid that opens and closes without the user touching anything.

Not sure how long till you find those on an airline but we are happy for warm water for now.
