Unwanted Granny Left on Garbage Dump
An Indian couple in Tamil Nadu, taking their garbage to the local dump, found an unwell 75-year old woman lying on the dump.
Apparently she had been thrown out of her home by her daughter and grandsons who were tired of taking care of her.
One of the rescuers was amazed by what the lady said: “She never complained about her family’s behavior, only rued the fact that she couldn’t move without help”.
The old woman, named Palaniappan, told the rescuers that her youngest daughter had argues with other family members on who would take care of her. Finally she enlisted the help of her sons to take their grandmother to the dump and leave her there.
Politicians were outraged over Palaniappan’s story and vowed they would ensure that action would be taken against the daughter.
“I have asked the collector (a local official) to take care of the old lady, and take legal action against the children,” said state Social Welfare Minister Poongothai.
Many people in Tamil Nadu go by only one name.

Her “family” should be strung up by their toes and beaten with sticks studded with rusty nails!

Don’t worry, her daughter and husband will grow old, and they have taught their children how to treat them as they age… Poetic justice…
