Chinese Woman to Pick Their Own Retirement Age
The Zhengzhou bureau of labor and social security has passed a new regulation to allow the city’s women workers to decide when they want to retire.
According to the regulation that came into effect on July 1, women can pick any time after paying the social insurance for at least 15 years. Earlier, the retirement age was set at 55.
The Henan provincial capital city is the first in the central Chinese province to have introduced such a regulation.
