One hundred versions of singer Hiromi Go’s popular love song, each using a different woman’s name, are to be provided to mobile phone subscribers for use as personalized ringtones, the service provider said.

For the recording, 51-year-old Go spent almost a whole day singing the song “Oyome Sanba” 100 times, each time using a different woman’s name.

Specifically, he inserted the women’s names into the phrase, “A woman who is in love is beautiful.”

The names include Yurie, his former wife, and Seiko, his former girlfriend (popular singer Seiko Matsuda).

The “chakuuta” (ringtone song) service provider came up with the idea after Go sang, “Norika who is in love is beautiful,” at the highly publicised wedding reception for actress Norika Fujiwara and comedian Tomonori Jinnai on May 30.
