Pinching would be alot safer but I would not promote any negative trauma to a child just to make sure their lungs work. If they get gas their lungs work! If they are hungry, their lungs work! If they get scared their lungs work! If they bump their head their lungs work! if another kid grabs their toy boy do their lungs work!!!
