Weird Asia Ewws

We love our fans and sometimes we get some really cool emails from people who love the same weird stuff we do.

I just wanted to tell you, I thought your site was really awesome. You guys find some of the weirdest stuff out there! Anyway, when I showed my sister your URL, she joked and said it was “Weird Asian Ews” because of some of the content of your site. I thought it was pretty funny. Anyway, you guys rock! Keep bringing us all of those funny news stories!

So we thought we would showcase a few random Ewws for our loving fans.

1. Thai Piercing and Pain Festival - The Chinese community in Phuket, Thailand, has ended its period of abstinence with a festival featuring people who pierce their bodies and go through self-inflicted pain in the belief they are driving out their demons.

2. Chinese Foot Binding: Fashion or Torture - Foot binding was practiced in China for 1000 years. Young girls would have their feet wrapped, thus limiting the normal development and essentially crippling them.

3. Jealous Woman Rips Chicks Apart With Feet - Chinese woman rips little baby ducks apart with her bare feet in some sick rage of jealousy.

4. Chinese Man Washes Hair for First Time in 26 Years - All the townspeople lined up to give him a hand. After many failed attempts using regular shampoo, they spent a total of 5 hours and 3 packs of laundry detergent to wash him clean.

(Thanks to Michelle and her sister for their great support)
