In June 2005, Xiao Kun, an office worker from Nanjing, visited Xuzhou, also in Jiangsu, on a trip with 39 colleagues. While there he met and fell in love with Sun Ran, a beautiful local guide.

Over the next two years, Xiao travelled frequently by train to Xuzhou to see his sweetheart.

Each time he did, he kept his ticket as a witness to his love for Sun.

The couple said they would keep the tickets to one day show their child how much love they have always had for one another.
