Your all not very smart. Japan is a different country - and things that are considered rude here are no problem over there, just as much as things that are fine over here are COMPLETELY taboo over there!
This is NOT excessive in japan. This is perfectly normal and accepted.
I lived in Japan for 6 years. Although this is not unheard of it is not normal or something you see on a daily basis.
So you know i understand enough i would mention such a case as slurping your soup on the US is very rude but it is actually a sign of respect in Japan. If you eat your noodles quietly you are saying they are disgusting in Japan.
Just as tipping is considered an insult in Japan.

If one looks at things of other cultures, it is expected of one to remain open minded without passing judgments. Its not restricted to Japanese, Africans, or Asians, but everyone. If one has such a problem with other’s cultures and ideas, then apparently you should not be on this website in the first place.
