This is deplorable. I mean, it’s good to have an understanding of different forms of the same dialect which are being spoken in certain countries; it’s like a completely different language depending on where you go.

But it’s becoming a sad world indeed if books like these are intended to actually aid a foreigner planning on visiting…

This has got to be the most pathetic excuse to
get attention from abroad. I have a biracial
grandmother in Kyoto and she honestly doesn’t
really care what form of the English language my
sister and I speak she will be able to understand us regardless. However personally she told us that
she is glad that we speak the standard form of the
language.My grandmother considers ebonics the
“Dimwit Language”.
