A 17 year-old boy accidentally swallowed a nail while he was eating a salmon rice bowl from Yoshinoya restaurant in Hong Kong.

Four days ago, they boy went to this chain restaurant for lunch, he ordered a bowl of salmon and rice and started devouring, soon he found two nails mixed in the rice, each had about 3cm long, and he had already swallowed the third one.

Luckily the nail didn’t go down to the stomach side ways, it would be life threatening as the nail could slice through his esophagus. He was rushed been to the hospital.

It has been four days now with no food allowed, the poor boy is living on the IV and hoping to poop out the nail but with no luck. Doctor says that he might have to get a surgery to remove the object at the end.

Yoshinoya is a chain fast food restaurant from Japan. In 2003, same restaurant but in different location was been penalized for $256 for having a roach in the noodle.
