Criminals, bored and drunk, sleeping under your bed
A suspected burglar in Fuqing, Fujian, who fell asleep after drinking a bottle of wine he had found under the bed in the apartment he was hoping to rob, ended up in custody on Monday.
The suspected thief had snuck into the apartment early Monday morning but found nothing of value except for a bottle of high-quality grape wine. Just as he was about to flee the scene, the owner, surnamed Xue, returned home. The thief then hid under the bed to wait for an opportunity to escape.
Out of boredom, he drank the wine under the bed, became drunk and then fell into a sound sleep. Xue was awaken by the sound of his snoring and called the police.
