Couple commits suicide when dog dies
An Indian couple, distraught over the death of their dog, killed themselves after hosting a funeral feast for the pooch.
The bodies of C.N. Madanraj, 67, and his wife, Tarabai, 63, were found hanged in the bedroom of their Hyderabad home, where the childless couple had lived for the past 13 years with their dog, Puppy.
“The couple described their grief over their pet dog in the suicide note,” a police official said.

This is not very strange bec: losing a pet to them is like losing a child to them.

It’s sad to think that they could not (or, would not) distinguish the difference between a PET and a CHILD.

Very sad. They should have thought of adopting another dog from the pound and giving him or her a home. Yes, I know people find it strange that they seemed to consider the dog a child, but having had both a child and a pet, I must say the bonds are equally strong.

It’s VERY sad. Losing a dog is like losing a child. You love that dog very much and he’s always with you. I don’t get how people can’t understand this feeling between us and dogs. And I would never replace my dog if he died. That’s just cruel to try to forget about his death.

Guess what? WE ARE MONKEYS.. Animals.. no difference.
Of course a human is going to think a human life is valued more.
Do you think a Lion or a Bear thinks that their offspring is better than a human? Of course they do…
Actually dogs, cats etc are much better than humans… not close to me…. humans are the most selfish animal of them all….
Life is life – whether in a cat, or dog or man. There is no difference there between a cat or a man. The idea of difference is a human conception for man's own advantage.
