In Gung Dong, China, the Jie Yang village is also called “Blood Villageâ€ÂÂ, where hundreds of locals make a living as professional blood sellers.
Groups of people will sell their blood to a local blood leader for some quick cash. They will often sell their blood up to 15 times a month and sometimes take illegal drugs to help the body produce more blood.

The group can get $25 per 400cc of blood and after the leader gets his cut they have about $15 to take home each time they give blood.
The government has tried to put a stop to this operation by arresting the leaders and forcing the blood sellers to get real jobs, but as long as they can find a way to sell their blood they are sure to keep on doing it.
