Chinese Cod Croaker Fish Sells for $75,000
A couple of days ago, a man fishing in Guangdong ZhanJiang city caught a 107.8 lbs slate cod croaker and sold it to a local hotel restaurant for about US$75,000, almost $700 a pound.
Three years ago, a similar cod fish weighing 105.6 lbs sold for US$28,800. Besides being a delicacy, Chinese people believe the fish’s stomach has a very high medical value for treating human stomach problems.

when will the chinese get it through their heads that pieces of animal parts don’t cure anything??? Eat some baking soda if you’ve got gut problems and leave the poor giant croaker fish alone!
