Chinese finally get Hooters
America’s Hooters restaurant chain plans to open its first China outlet in Shanghai on Friday, bringing its racy combination of cold beer, chicken wings and skimpily dressed waitresses to one of the world’s fastest growing economies.

The outlet in the foreigner-friendly Hongqiao district adds to the more than 375 stores now operated by the chain famed for its busty waitresses clad in clingy low-cut tank tops and high-cut shorts _ an image the company describes as “delightfully tacky, yet unrefined.”

A VIP party is scheduled for Friday evening with the store opening to the general public on Sunday.

There has been a hooters in Shanghai for a lot of time. If I recall correctly, it opened 2002. I recall being there summer 2005 in Gubei district.

The point of hooters is to be served food by women with large breasts. Hence most of my guy friends love the place and my girl friends tend to dislike it and call it chovanistic.
However, having a restaurant like this in china/japan/korea is kinda useless considering most of the women that are gonna work there are not going to be very well endowed. Yea, a few might, but even in the picture they aren’t really that well endowed. Don’t get me wrong they are hot, and hooters is good, but they are completely missing the point. I’m not really complaining, just pointing out a spot of ignorance. Feel free to correct me if you disagree.

The good news is, Hooters is an international company and they are making wings enjoyable in other countries. I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter either way what the waitresses look like, as women vary in physical features from country country..
