110 Year-Old Woman Drinks Liquor with Every Meal

A 110-year-old resident of Ankang, Shaanxi, in Northwest China, has an unusual formula for her longevity: She has drunk liquor with every meal since 1967.

“In the past 40 years, my mother has taken more than 2,500 kilograms of liquor, and she would never take any food without liquor for her meals,” said Liu Houwen, Tang’s 64-year-old son.

Ironically, Tang had never drunk liquor before she turned 70, and when she was told liquor could cure her cough, she started to drink. Experts said it’s just a coincidence, and the drinking has no effect on her longevity. Long-term drinking would, of course, cause alcohol dependence.

You know ive heard of stuff like this before. One time i read an article about an old man who lived to be 106 and he smoked cigars since he was 38 or something. LOL we all know smoking didnt give him any extra years.

    Great article btw!
