Power of the Queen Bee and Honey

Thousands of bees were seen collecting on the rearview mirror of a van in downtown Shishi, Fujian, on Thursday, attracting the attention of curious pedestrians, police and a summoned beekeeper.

Fearing that the bees would threaten people nearby, police invited the beekeeper, surnamed Li, to the spot.

Li first swept the bees off the mirror to find the queen. As soon as Li caught the queen and put it into a wooden box, the other bees immediately began flying into the box, and about an hour later, Li had them under control. He presumed somebody had accidentally dropped some honey on the mirror, attracting the bees.
