Drug Addicts Marry in Rehabilitation Center
Two former drug addicts fall in love and get married on Monday in the rehabilitation center where they were ordered to receive treatment in Kunming, the capital of southwest China’s Yunnan Province. That’s the story behind the first marriage to take place in a rehabilitation center in China.

Yunnan Daily reports that the 38-year-old groom, Zhang Qing, and the 31-year-old bride, Wang Jingying, had both been doing drugs for years. Both had been ordered to get treatment several times, but went back time and again, that is, until they met each other and fell in love in 2005.
An officer at the rehabilitation center said the couple changed completely after falling in love. They stayed away from their former drug buddies and rid their lives of drugs.
Still, the whole center was surprised when a month ago the two said they would marry. “We had never heard of something like this. This was the first time,” an officer said.
The rehabilitation center provided as much help as it could.
Accompanied by an officer, Zhang Qing and Wang Jingying registered for marriage at a local registration office this Monday.
“It is the happiest day for me of all these years,” Wang Jingying said.
A special bridal chamber has been set up and a big wedding will be held for the couple in the rehabilitation center this coming Friday.
The couple have also been offered jobs at the center.
